Makes me long for Portugal even more. And such a poignant point about flags at half-mast for victims of gun violence in this country….you’re absolutely right…we would never see a raised flag again.

Something so simple as a road trip meant so much to her and to you. I need to see my parents more. Thank you for that reminder. 😊

Aww what an important but bittersweet trip for you and your Mom. I meant to tell you I drove from Denver to Cincinnati in September. On my way I stopped in Chicago to see some old friends and drove through your hometown! Made me think of you!
