I didn’t know other people did that! Driving up and down the 1 last month, on winding roads over the cliffs near Big Sur, I kept picturing us coming around a blind curve, a truck in our lane, and tumbling into the ocean. It was straight out of my awful high school driver’s ed scare-tactic videos. I have the same panicky thoughts with school drop offs and airport goodbyes. I do wish I could just be chill. I envy people who don’t have brains that do this.

What an adventure! So glad the visa came...whew! Looking forward to seeing you, but it's so hard to say goodbye to such wonderful old friends.
