Thank you for this. It speaks my heart. I had no idea you were moving to Portugal. It's at the top of our list of possibilities when we talk about moving abroad, which we do pretty much every other day. What made you guys decide to go there?
Love reading anything you write, Lo. What a treat to susbscribe! And Millie might have found one job duty in common with Vila -- fellow human checker-in-er. The little empaths they are; soaking it in with those eyes. Anyhow, keep this up please! I'll be the middle aged lady shakin' her head saying YES and YES again...also arms full of glass balls looking for an ocean to set some of them in. xoxo
Subscribed. I’ll always subscribe. Forever your groupie because you just say the shit so impeccably. I love you, friend. So glad to be doing life and motherhood and writing and pandemics with you.
Wow, that was so moving and full of life and care and just really wonderful and left me wanting even more. I don’t think I can wait a month till the next one comes out...
This is so good. I desperately needed to read exactly this, from you! And (of course) I was walking Buster - maybe even the same day or evening, on the other side of the damn world from you, also sobbing and having the exact same thoughts. I love that you're doing a blog again. The image of the slippery glass balls: OH MY GOD is that perfect. So much juggling, so much at stake (and I don't have kids, and my parents are already gone as you know so I'm not dealing with that anymore - I can't wrap my head around how much you have going on), and it's all too hard, and my body feels enormous too and I resent owning it SO MUCH right now. It feels like a gigantic compendium of meat bags and sore tendons. Dressing it in the morning feels like the most aggravating chore. I could not relate any harder. Anyway, I love this. And you, natch; forever and with vigor. XO
❤️. You are not alone in the madsad overwhelm and I’m definitely here for it. I’d also like to pack my entire family in your suitcases/boxes. Portugal sounds lovely. My cousin lived there for 4-5 when his kids were in elementary and they loved it.
So good! Forgot what a fine writer you are. Subscribed. Ready to follow your Portugal story. Had no idea you were headed abroad. A book....great. Will read!
Well, working on it. Lots of details to organize still, so I will 100% believe it when the shipping container sails and our visas are stamped. But yes, that is the ex-pat plan.

It's a long story. I'll have to write it up for a post one of these days. :)

1. This is really good. I'm here for all of it.
2. Madsad. Yup.
3. I somehow didn't know you are writing a book. I will read said book. Promise. You just sold one copy.

Oh good! Neither can I! Luckily I have some holiday down-time coming up, so I'll write more, soon. :)
