The thing about writing
love your writing. i visited the bones last month and they do, indeed, inspire words, poetry, reflection. could barely get enough of them. not enough time in evora, but had a plane to catch.
I agree with Bruce below: you are a very good writer. But it's true that writing an entire book, such as a memoir, is a whole different animal. And here's the worst part: not only do you have to write the blinking book, you have to market, promote and persuade people to buy it afterwards; it's not enough these days just to write it!
They say it's 30 percent writing, 70 percent marketing (the really hard work in my opinion, not to mention time consuming.)
In any case, good luck with your projects and best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season. Your first Christmas in Portugal?
Love love love your writings and your musings. Just love 'em (though I have to say I'm not one for poetry, sorry...) And as a personal aside, the "homework for life" comment drew a chuckle as that was my reaction to taking Português language lessons.... and I'm no writer! Obrigado, and blessings on you, your family and all you write about.
You are an excellent writer, LaDonna. Portugal Living Magazine is honored to have published some of your work.
